Service Sunset Policy

Purpose

This policy explains how preserved records are handled if the BuildStamp service is modified, discontinued, or shut down.

Operational Continuity

BuildStamp retains preserved records while:

• The Service remains operational, and
• The user maintains an active subscription or valid access period

Retention periods represent maximum intended availability, not guaranteed duration.

Notice of Discontinuation

If BuildStamp elects to discontinue the Service:

• Users will receive at least 60 days advance notice via email and the Service interface
• Export functionality will remain available throughout the notice period
• Users are responsible for exporting all records prior to shutdown

Data Access & Export

During the notice period:

• Users may export all preserved records
• Exports include timestamps and integrity metadata
• After the shutdown date, records may be permanently deleted

Responsibility for Long-Term Retention

Users are solely responsible for:

• Maintaining independent copies of records
• Meeting statutory, contractual, or regulatory retention requirements

No Guarantee Beyond Service Life

BuildStamp does not guarantee availability of records beyond the operational life of the Service.
